doubt that's this years crop thenBrewed disa's rye pale ale yesterday, but I subbed out the Amarillo for Columbus since the Amarillo crop this year has a very distinct sweat sock flavor and aroma to it.

I got it as this years crop from hops direct... Last year was a slight move towards this direction. This years pole vaulted over the line. Vacuum sealed the day of receipt.doubt that's this years crop then

I've bought some in the past couple of months and they too look like the bottom of the barrel, and a little brown. Not sweat sock, though.I used and ounce to dry hop a pale ale, and they were fine. I crushed them up with my hands a bit to release the goodness from within just for the reason you say. I was afraid I may not get the result I wanted. But they did fine in the dry hop.I got it as this years crop from hops direct... Last year was a slight move towards this direction. This years pole vaulted over the line. I am not entirely sure of their trustworthiness when it comes to hops they don't growI got it as this years crop from hops direct... Last year was a slight move towards this direction. This years pole vaulted over the line. Vacuum sealed the day of receipt.

I got mine from Freshops, first and the next half pound from Label Peelers in the Hopunion pre-sealed 1 oz packages. They both look the same. Haven't opened the Freshops bag yet. But, I can see the color. Not the normal fresh looking green you usually get.I am not entirely sure of their trustworthiness when it comes to hops they don't grow

Without counting, I'd say LOTS! I brewed it maybe 10 times just to get the recipe down and make sure it was repeatable. One of these days I should count them up.questionhow many batches of Rye IPA have you brewed ?

Great! That'll be the perfect time of year. That should give you about a month to get unpacked before I can get my sporting gear together and get out there!Thanks...If all continues to go well I should close on 5/25
