really nice beer. i'd make it again. still drinking from a 2L at this point. it's getting a lot less cloudy now. my guess is this one will clear up with a few more weeks of cold conditioning.

Little late to jump into this one, I am brewing my first beer in over 2 years. I am going with this recipe. I am too lazy to make a starter, so I splurged and went with two packages of Wyeast 1450, Denny's Favorite 50. I know nothing about this yeast other than Denny loves it, so that is good enough for me.I will brew it tommorow.

I did substitute Mt Hood for the Cascade. I am tired of cascade.

Yeah, it's hard to keep good beer on tap around my house during the summer. Too many friends like good beer and my pool! :P

I pull a pint almost every night I get home from work. I'll be making 10 gallons next time.

Yeah, this beer is money. I am really happy with how it came out. I made 10 gallons and just put my first keg on the other day.

Not sure how I missed this but that recipe looks nice. I have to try and get this one in the rotation. I had an Amber planned so this may just take the place of it.

Did you see my post back at #194, similar to that? Just wondering the differences people are getting.

Tried my 1 week old gravity sample and taste test. The bitterness is more forward than I would have predicted. [Not that this is bad thing]The rye is more forward that I would have guessed for 2 lbs. [Not that this is a bad thing]Looking forward to 5 weeks from now when I expect to have a carbonated glass of this baby.

the 1450 really seems to allow both the malt and hops to shine
