You are really gonna like this one.Little late to jump into this one, I am brewing my first beer in over 2 years. I am going with this recipe. I am too lazy to make a starter, so I splurged and went with two packages of Wyeast 1450, Denny's Favorite 50. I know nothing about this yeast other than Denny loves it, so that is good enough for me.I will brew it tommorow.

I did substitute Mt Hood for the Cascade. I am tired of cascade.gone already?

Yeah, it's hard to keep good beer on tap around my house during the summer. Too many friends like good beer and my pool!gone already?

couldn't resist pulling a 1 day carb samplecolor- spot onaroma- hop tasticflavor- malty hop candy I am really liking 1450mouthfeel - just a little slickness, and thatRye spiciness, damn guys we rockwhen this is carbed fully I will be slurping this stuff downnice!mine should be going into cold crash today, maybe tommorrow

I doubt you'll be sorryNot sure how I missed this but that recipe looks nice. I have to try and get this one in the rotation. I had an Amber planned so this may just take the place of it.

the 1450 really seems to allow both the malt and hops to shineTried my 1 week old gravity sample and taste test.The bitterness is more forward than I would have predicted. [Not that this is bad thing]The rye is more forward that I would have guessed for 2 lbs. [Not that this is a bad thing]Looking forward to 5 weeks from now when I expect to have a carbonated glass of this baby.
