Tell me more about So. Cal. Pilsner.
I have never had one but it just looked good to me. https://beerandbrewi...al-pils-recipe/ I am doing a Citra/Mosaic split for the hops and hitting it with a starter of Bayern.

that sounds great.
maybe I'll try it with some diamond lager.
are you going to ferment warm?

so drez, do you suggest the conduit method when doing the runs for the 220V? I could pretty easily make a whole in the skirt sitting on top of my foundation and enter my garage about 2' off the garage floor. I've already done this for the conduit I made to drain my wort into the basement.
I'm also thinking of running a 120V while I'm at it and putting it near the 220V. any reason they can't share a conduit or junction boxes?
also when you ran your 220Vs did you run it all off one circuit knowing you wouldn't plug too much stuff in at once? I'm not sure I'll install more than one 220V outlet for brewing but it would be good to know if I needed to add another outlet it's fine.

So you are running the 220v to your garage? You don't have any power in there already? I would look into running a 220v 50amp run to a small sub panel. Then you could tap off of that to whatever you want.so drez, do you suggest the conduit method when doing the runs for the 220V? Well he mentioned he would run a 120v while he was at it. So it made me think he had no power out there.Pretty sure he only has 120v circuits out there.

So just to clear this up because it bugs me and I'm not trying to be a dick. But you either have 240/120v service or 220/110v service. 120v is not half of 220v. Just had to get that off my chest haha.
Anyway I will stand by my rec of running a 50amp 240v line. How far from your main panel to where you want the power in your garage? You would need a 4-core 6awg cable(if a real long run maybe step up to 4awg) and yes you could run it in conduit. Run that from your main panel(hopefully you have two open slots) to a small sub panel in your garage. Then you could run a 120v line out to an outlet and also a 240v line(or two) out to another outlet(s), all in conduit if you like.
I'm not really sure which I have actually. everything is made to handle 220V/240V or 110/120V in the US right? I get that's wrong though.
I'm probably not qualified to install a new panel. I could probably do some outlets though.

You have 120/240.

Not sure how you know that but thanks!

If you can do outlets you can do a panel. Its really not any different.
I'd be running everything by you guys to make sure I don't do anything too stupid.
if I were to do a subpanel would placing it underneath the miller mirror in this pic be okay? is that too close to the sink? I could pretty easily punch through from the basement just below that and run a conduit up to a subpanel at that location. this would probably be <18' run if I were to guess.
