Here is what  25% of Carapils Copper does to a lager.  It is growing on me but I am not sure I would do it the same again.  I think it needs more bitterness and maybe a bit more sulfates in the water.  I was shooting for a red lager, not sure I got there but close.

My porter. Not 100% what I wanted but not bad. I with it had a bit more bitterness.

you weren't kidding on the color!  did you use pale chocolate or something?  fortunately what you have there is still beer

the head retention is really nice too.

It was rye chocolate and I do not know the lovibond because it was a local maltster.  I will call it a brown porter. I did add some sinamar to the fermetner but not enough to really do anything.

hmmm - is this a 10 gallon batch?  in the porter recipe I posted in the other thread you'll notice I used 2x as much chocolate malt.  even on mine I can still see a little bit of light through it.

HA HA good catch.  I remembered I was playing with my spreadsheet to come up with a session ale to split.  I must have used this one and not saved it under a different name.  I went and found the print out and I used 15 total pounds for 6.5g.

This was one of those batches where around 11am I say I am brewing something today and by 430 it is on the fermenter.  Kind of winged it all the way.

If it otherwise tastes good, maybe a smidge of Carafa in the grist to help darken it some without messing with the flavor?

That, Midnight Wheat or even more sinamar at the end of boil.  I will say the color is pretty in person.  Brewing is always about learning!

Does it get more hipster than a mason jar on a pallet!

Lager with Hallertau and finished with Loral American Nobles. Pretty happy with it.
