Evidently there is an Amarillo hops shortage and I can't find any. Would Zythos Blend be a good dry hop substitute for Amarillo?

It sounds like it might be a reasonable alternative, but not really a sub. Don't think there is one.https://www.probrewe...ead.php?t=22814I used some Amarillo today but I'm being stingy with them until harvest is in. Sucks, I really like them.

I just got some from Freshops.com for $1.25 an ounce. They look a little old, or at least not as green as what you would normally get from them, but I haven't opened them yet. It is at the end of the season, after all. I was surprised to see they had some. Now, if I could find some Citra....

I've been wanting to try a Black IPA. I think I will order some more Zythos and try the hopbursting technique with that.

Morebeer.com still has them. You're limited to a 16oz order.

Here you go BBM. https://labelpeelers...ops-c-1_64.htmlTake a tip. The first time I visited the site the sale price was 15% off everything. I ordered a pound of Citra (16-1oz packs from HopUnion) and 8 oz of Amarillo(8-1oz packs of the same). Did my checkout and all is good. I go back to the site and the price is only 5% off...!?So, if it's 15% off when you go there, buy as much as you can. It must be a first time visitor deal or something. I went back to the website I found from Google that linked me to them, but it is still coming up just 5% discount now. (I Googled Citra hops and clicked on a site called CitraHops.com and then clicked the link to LabelPeelers.com....might try that).I think I paid $1.89oz for Amarillo, and under $2.00oz for the Citra. Can't find either anywhere else, and these are packaged real high quality by HopUnion.
