So what is your mild recipe? I have been thinking of one for a quick flavorful beer.

Here is what i have: 12 gallon preboil/ 11 gallon post:

10.75# marris otter
14 oz uk c-60
6 oz uk pale chocolate
6 oz uk c 150

2 oz of first gold (16.6 aau) at 60 minutes

Wlp007. May split the batch with another yeast. OG is 1.038, so.. say 3.5-3.75% abv?

I'm actually brewing today!  Twice in a few weeks is amazing.  The last batch of my Am. brown turned out so amazingly good that I decided to sneak in another batch before surgery.  Making exactly the same recipe, but using my new setup with a Mash and Boil as HLT and using a Blichmann Riptide pump.

just worked out the water profile for 10 gallons of a English mild for Sunday. OG at 1.032; going to split the batch with two yeast strains, because, well, those are two large yeast starters! Have some Notty and WLP001 that need an appetizer, and just curious how different they will turn out.

Light lager on Monday; a re-brew of the "Cincinnati pils" I made a while back.

A pic is in the pint-pic thread.

Got a healthy pitch of fresh 34/70 settling in the fridge (kegged a Dort yesterday and harvested the yeast) that needs to be pressed back into service ASAP.

Brewed for the first time in 19 months today. Made my house APA. Did a 30 minute boil for the first time.

Overshot my OG due to my new grain mill(it's over a year old, first time used). Need to adjust my efficiency in the good direction.

It was cold with wind gusts to 35mph. Only 3 leaves in my kettle.

I'm going to try to squeeze in a brewday this week if possible. My Signature Ale is done and will be heading to a keg sometime this week. I have an ESB to brew with the 1028 but I also have family coming in from out of town this weekend so it would have to be some sort of rogue Thursday afternoon brew session or something. If my wife sees me brewing when we have people coming to stay with us it will not be good. I better get the other stuff done first. :D

I have appointments with customers at 10am Wednesday and also Thursday. Maybe Thursday afternoon could work. I'm picking my youngest up at the airport on Friday night so I need to leave Friday out altogether. Instead of asking permission or forgiveness, maybe I could just do it under the radar when my wife is not here!

That's my MO anymore.  Weekends for brewing died out here a long while ago.

Just today, I snuck in a brewday immediately after she left for work, and got done ~1 hour before she got home.  Didn't hurt that I had the water treated, measured, and filtered yesterday afternoon. Grain got measured and crushed while the strike water heated up.

She was never the wiser.

Some stealthy brewing ninjas on this forum...   :D

Gonna do a dunkel this weekend.   Going to use my standard Pils/Golden Promise/Carahell base and then add add 1/2lb of carafa III at mash out just to get the color right without any roastiness.   Kind of a poor man's Sinamar.
