Thanks. Good looking beer regardless. I've never used Sorachi Ace but I have had commercial beer both good and horrible that used it. Seems to be a like it/hate it hop for a lot of people.

I had it on Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace Saison and I tossed it. Sucked so bad it steers me clear of trying any of their other beers.

That beer was Pine-sol for me. Never gave that hop another chance.

I find that Mosaic is in the same boat- all love or all hate, no in between.

I've concluded I have no idea what "IT" really is. I will say that this beer is delicious. It's smooth, the character of the 2124 and the fresh Hallertau hops really comes through and it's a very nice beer. Is it way, way better than what I usually make? I don't know. I will also say that I have had fresh beer in Vienna, Munich and Prague and YES the beer was fantastic but I don't remember thinking that it had so much of a different character than one of my well-made beers. That doesn't mean I think my beer rivals those beers but it does mean that I'm generally really happy with my own similar creations. This was supposed to be a 20-22 IBU helles but it's drinking more like a pilsner because the low-O2 process seems to let the hops come through much more.

Maerzen.   This was my dry ice disaster from back in December... :P   Turned out great in spite of the idiot brewmaster.

My latest iteration of Great Lakes' Nosferatu imperial red ale.  Weighs in at a solid 8% abv.

All of the flavor/aroma additions were homegrown Cascade, from last fall's harvest.  Quite tasty, and (IMO) an improvement on the commercial version.
