Nice late summer day here, perfect for this golden lager.

There is something about that glass that is just perfect.  Great shape and weight to it.  Thanks again Ken!

I served my sister a beer in that glass and she looked at it and picked it up and turned it and eventually said, "Mmm, this looks like a fun glass". :D Cheers kids.

Sorry for the plastic cup but I always sample a new beer this way. Oktoberfest lager as mentioned in some other threads. It just finished carbing this morning. The balance, the flavor, the character of the malts and the yeast is all perfect. This is my new and permanent Oktoberfest recipe. I realize that it's lower in ABV than some would like so it could always be bumped up but wow... what a great balance of flavors and the adjustment I made where I used more pils and less Munich 2 came out just as I had hoped. There is yeast in that sample but eventually it will clear up and I'll get a shot of it in a proper glass. Cheers.

I know this looks very similar but this is another beer that carbed up this past week... my version of New Glarus Two Women. Different (but similar) grain bill, some later hops and different yeast (2308 here). This is the first sample from the keg so I get to sample TWO NEW beers this afternoon. It came out lovely. I have made this a number of times before. My SIL really likes the commercial version and she will be here on Sunday so this beer may get to the taps or else I'll just tap her glasses from the on deck fridge.

Patersbier from over the weekend.  Not as clear as I would have liked but it tastes great and I can see this holding a tap position in the summer from here out.  I also love that half liter glass a co-worker brought me back from Munich.

Looks great. What yeast did you use and how did you pitch it? (i.e. pitch rate, SNS, etc.) and were you happy with the way the yeast presented? I ask because the last time I made one it was waaaaaay too clean with an SNS starter of 1214 fermented @66F. Like, "might as well have made a blonde ale" clean.

I used Omega Belgian Ale  W and that compares to WLP550 or 3522.  I did a SNS starter for it and started at 65 and I think it went to the low 70's.  It is not crazy in your face Belgian but you can tell it is Belgian.  It is no where clean enough for Ken to drink it!

One of those crazy NEIPAs
Two row pale, carafoam and a hint of midnight wheat. Lots and lots of Galaxy with a hint of Citra.
