Usually my phone because it's easiest to then upload the image. In my camera I have the extra step of getting the image off the SD card.
My dslr will send right to a phone... I like that feature.

Both phone and dslr for me. Lately my phone has been glitchy with pictures.

Sony Alpha A6000 mirrorless. Really happy with it.

^^ thanks. I would like to move to a camera with wifi capability for picture sharing and downloading to phone etc. Currently shoot a D90 which is pretty top notch for our shooting but the process of downloading pics to use in stuff is old school.

I had a D50 prior to this and when it was time to upgrade I went with the smaller mirrorless. With kids and carrying all sorts of crap I find we take the smaller camera a lot more than we would before.

Agree. I have a D50 too. Great camera. Just a natural gravitation to modern tech and definitely more compact design

Now that you mention it I always forget I have that feature. Maybe I should try it out! It makes my camera show up as a WiFi hotspot. What is strange is that it seems like it's completely open so if someone had the Nikon app they could control my camera and download all of my pictures.
Mine requires me to enter a Password that is shown on the camera screen to connect the first time. With out this it will not download. I also have to initiate the download on the camera first.

Now for a pilsner. 50/50 GP and Barke Pils plus a smidge of Carahell. All Hallertau hops, Diamond yeast.
Posted 26 January 2020 - 03:45 PM
how many times have you used that diamond yeast? have you done any yeast cake reuse with it?
Posted 26 January 2020 - 03:46 PM
Seven times.
Posted 26 January 2020 - 04:02 PM
Seven times.
seven times of reuse? if yes has it changed much over time?

Use, harvest, repeat.

Pils.

Oh man that looks so beautiful

Pils.
Looks very nice. I assume this is spunded, how long did it take to get to that clarity and at what temp? Thanks.
Posted 31 January 2020 - 10:50 AM
Yep, spunded. I brewed this in October. However, the first keg that I finished off in December was just as clear. Pretty much the same process with all my beers: hydrated Irish moss, gentle whirlpool during cooling, and pretty clear wort into the fermenter. The only big change was Barke malts. Not sure if that could be a factor or not. That L17 drops pretty fast too. Fermented at 52, spunded after 6 days, put in the fridge a week after that. Floating dip tube helps too, but I've been getting good clarity in my kegs where I've just cut the dip tube a bit.

Hey, no fair... you have sun. Haven't seen the sun here in about 2 weeks, I swear.
Beer looks awesome! Nice color, nice clarity and really cool glass.
Ps. Is that beer on top of your roller garbage can? Seriously? That's no way to treat your beer!
