Unless you have a recipe really dialed into what you want, I always think splitting and comparing is a good idea.Making a 10g finished batch of Denny's RIPA.(mostly)although i increased the rye malt some.And not using Carapils.(mash target is little higher) What should i use 001 slurries or safale 05 (new packets) ? i thought of splitting it and using one of each. Not sure yet.

I agree with this except that I'd reverse the 1056 & US-05. You could probably throw WLP051 into that mix somewhere too.I saw a post on another site that listed the yeast preference in this order.145012721056US-05

Not for me. I've come to have a definite preference for 1056 over 05.I agree with this except that I'd reverse the 1056 & US-05. You could probably throw WLP051 into that mix somewhere too.
