Stick it in the fridge if you're not brewing soon. And make a starter...........Other than that relax, don't worry, have a homebrew............

I would make a starter ASAP. It's probably fine but since you're way south of me you want to make sure the yeast didn't fry on the trip. Plus that gives you enough time if it starts off slow. I ordered some recently that shipping temps were a concern. So far they have all been fine.eta, I've had smack packs show up swollen before and they weren't a problem since I always make starters - 10 gal always........

My advice, get some dry yeast as a backup.

Its good alright, this morning I had a yeast volcano. Woke up to see about 4 inches of foam in the starter but the stir bar was not spinning. I centered the stir bar and started up the plate again and all the suspended CO2 let loose and I woke the volcano. What a mess. Got it cleaned up and added as little Fermcap as possible and the foam went down.At least I know the yeast is good.Dan

Sweet!I have been getting yeast from my local guy recently and some packages like 1056 are puffed when I get them. There is no way you could even pop the pouch inside.
