if someone was smart (and had tons of free time) they would code a third-party browser plugin which would keep track of the brewboard url's and allow you to +1/-1 posts, and a little icon would hover over the posts, and anyone else who ran that app could see the +1/-1's ...

I've typed like 5 different responses and all of them just come out sounding like I'm sucking up to weeperow and that's not my intent, but suffice to say I think some of y'all are oversensitive. There are plenty of folk who spend tons of time here and comment in almost every thread and nobody complains about them. Yeah, maybe weep "tried too hard" at first, but face it -- if you're a female AND a stranger and you come into this environment, the chances of you being accepted into the fold seem pretty small (in part because you might not WANT to be accepted into the fold of this rowdy obnoxious bunch of know-it-all-drunks.....) So I give her props for trying to hard to be accepted by the likes of us and we should feel flattered

Listen, like it or not, it's true. We are a tough crowd, especially if you're not privy to the history and the inside jokes. The fact that someone - anyone - would come here, see how we are, and say "I like these guys and want to spend more time here" is kind of amazing to me. I feel the same way about that glassonion dude - he seems to fit right in here and I was impressed by that, because I think it takes a special kind of person to fit in here.Considering I can name the female members who have "fit in" here over the years on one hand, I think that's an even rarer thing. Maybe flattered wasn't quite the right word, but IMO, any female who tolerates the lot of us is a rare bird indeed.
