It was 5 bucks .. I added it in just in case. It also helps the "flaoting" issue peopel complain about.I think my braid is 20"

manifold easy to make and will last a lifetime.Dan.

Says the guy who *just* built his manifold! JK :cheers:He is right though... properly built, they will endure.Plus, if you want to convert to fly sparging, you don't have to do anything new.

Braid with SS spring inside ..

If you do it right, you don't need the spring.

Are you batch sparging? If so, cut the braid in half. It will work just as well and be easier to use. Then lose the spring.

LOL! I'll be honest... I've been very happy with my cpvc manifold doing both batch and fly sparging. But I do acknowledge that there is more than one way to skin a cat... unless his name is Orville, then instead of skinning him, you stuff him and attach propellers to him... wait.. what? Oh yeah, that's in the PH! :cheers:Denny, I'm happy I met you here. Otherwise I might never have tried using Rye in my beer.

When all said and done it will cost more than that. Plus a manifold will last your grandsons brewery.

it's clear the only possible option is to get a braid that fits inside a manifold.
