Got my body and stuff back. Found a crypt and dragged a bunch of iron back to camp. Gotta build up my armor so I can go deeper into the swamp and get more iron so I can build up my armor so I can go deeper in the swamp so I can get more iron so I can build up my armor

IMO, spend your first iron on a fully upgraded iron pickaxe. That way you won't have to carry two antler pick axes to fill up on iron scrap. They also hit harder so it takes fewer swings to break down the muddy debris.

Yeah, I already did the pickaxe so I could get obsidian from the mountains and make poison arrows

Good damn BoneMass killed me twice. Fight lasted more than one poison potion, and you can't refresh them early, so I died really quickly before I could drink another. Couldn't get back up on my perch the second time because the ladder was destroyed. His adds are absolutely ridiculous.

I registerd his location, not gonna mess with that until i've mined a few more swamps.

It appears that my iron gear and hunters bow have despawned. That's about 40 hours of swamp crypting.

No I mean I'm impatient. I have like 35 scrap iron and it takes too long to turn into bars. I need 3 or 4 of em going simultaneously.

That's what I mean. Whenever you bring back a big haul, build 4 or 5 smelters and power through the ore, then break down all but one for casual use. I keep all the makings separated in their own chest over by the permanent one.

Ok, they didn't despawn. I just got killed so many times that I forget which corpses had what.

Talking to the sister's boyfriend over the weekend. He's a gamer and I asked about Valheim. He said, "I put 140 hours into it the first 2 weeks after release. Eight of us worked day and night collecting, building, fighting in teams."  Apparently they beat it at some point.

 

140 hours in two weeks ... I think i'm averaging 3 hours a week.

I played a lot this weekend. I'm mid silver now. Found a plains, killed a few lox and goblins, but there's not much you can do there without the artisan table. That comes from killing the mountain boss, and I don't have a clue where she is.

Got plenty of iron now, strong in the swamp. My big issue is food, need to do some hunting. Otherwise, Bonemass is on the other side of the world. Gonna load up a ship and plant a little outpost up there.
