Anyone else playing this? 2m copies sold in 2 weeks. Super fun if you are into the whole survival/crafting thing.

Everyone is talking about this one. All the YouTubers are on board. I'm just kind of fed up with pre release games at the moment.

I hear you, but this is pretty good anyway. It's a sandbox type game with not much in the way of story, so it's not like you're missing out on an ending or anything.

Horsethrobment. Do they have NPCs? Guards you can hire etc to make sure that keep doesn't become a nest for something nasty.

Grabbed it in a moment of sober weakness. 1 gb!, lol. Anyway, i got to the loading screen before someone started screaming and needed an ice pack. Then i woke up 5 hours later at my desk. I mean i was awake the whole time, but i try not to encode the mundane anymore. Looks like we could host a custom server for the PH, just keep it running or have it up for set times during the day.

Skrok was reborn last night between meals and childrens' fights. He repelled off a stork and snapped a greyling's neck. A bird had words, but Skrok never learnta read. Took off into the woods, punched trees and grabbed sticks. Sticks and rocks. You got the axe. Chops and logs. You got the bench. Chops and logs and a climb to the highest hill, Skrok founded his new home. He ate boar and rasberries while strange lands floated in the skies above. As the camp grew, so did Skrok. You got the bulge. Skrok found animals and filched their skins. You got the pants. Contained and strong, Skrok ate two kinds of meat and a rasberry. Then he drowned in a lake because I didn't know what i was doing.

Swimming-drowning is ridiculous. Clearly not finished.

Flint spear is a waste of resources. Throwing just seems to cause aggro but no damage, while thrusting rarely hits and does single digit damage if it does.

Why isn't there a goddamned chimney or fireplace? Yes, I'm cold and wet, the rain keeps putting out my fire. Cover it? Then I get smoked out of the house. This dude will eventually refine copper and tin ores into bronze (if in an historically incorrect manner) and smelt iron, but he can't make a fireplace?

Why no window walls? Why do I get meat from every lizard I kill but only some boars drop it? Were are all the male deer?

This is the kind of stuff that soured me on pre release.

You can build a chimney out of walls.

There are half walls you can use to make windows.

There are male deer. They're not as common but they exist.

Man, the things you worry about ...  

 

The chimney and fireplace just require a little creativity with a limited building set. My prerelease hilltop hovel doesn't need to be a work of art. 

 

I never bothered with the flint spear. Cut everything up with an axe and eventually a bow.  Alpha style.

 

What uhh ... preferences do you have set? My game has both male and female deer...

LOL actually the fireplace thing annoys me too. It's awkward at best.

Lost count . Plus, even with a proper chimney, and full fuel, with no rain, it randomly puts itself out for some reason.

It will fire back up in 5 or 10 seconds if you just walk around but it's annoying as hell.

I haven't been in game all week, but tonight it might be on. Gonna run some raids into the second area, scout locations for forward position. Build a chimney out of gold brix.
