I have an ounce of Summit in my freezer but then I heard what you just described and the ounce is still in the freezer. I should just toss it... I would never risk making a beer that tasted like Denny's a hippy's armpit.

Honestly if they just sent you one pound of the Hallertau along with the rest of the order without contacting you first... thats pretty shitty IMO. Hopefully its all there.

I have not received a shipping email yet. One possibility in all of this is that with the sale going 11/22 to 11/29 when people were busy with the holiday, they may not have gotten a HUGE response to the sale. Also, how many people would do what Drez did by choosing 5 pounds? Not many. My guess is that the vast majority of people ordered one pound of various hops and paid the $5 or $7 and that's it. Not many people are going to order more than one pound of a given hop so they wouldn't even realize that 5 pounds was $5.

Mine have shipped and the summary shows one pound each of Styrian Goldings, Crystal and Magnum and 5 pounds of Hallertau. My FedEx tracking data is not available yet. Hmm, I better get busy designing some hoppy German lagers!

EDIT: Got an email from FedEx showing that I'll receive my hops on Saturday and the weight of my package is 6 pounds. But I ordered 8. So something is up. The email from HopsDirect show my 5 lbs of Hallertau so we'll have to wait and see. I assume that they did the same thing for all of us.
