So not homebrew but I really liked the picture and I was doing "research" for a upcoming Kolsch so I think it counts

Love the Reissdorf

Funny, that was the worst of the three for me by a long shot. I wish I was able to grab some Fruh and Scion as well. I know Fruh is available but not at this store. Scion was my preferred Kolsch when I was on Cologne.

ugh. so hazy
I do have the chamber set really cold so some of it could be chill haze that would clear up.

I've been taking some time away from the board but decided to pop in and post a pic. No boil rye pale ale with Citra and Mosaic. Really good! Will be back around shortly.
Looking good! I have my own no boil getting kegged next week. I was wondering where you disappeared too.

Amber Lager w/Magnum, Mandarina Bavaria and 2124...
Highly Sexy. Ken, care to share the build?

This was just a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants beer. 6 pounds of Pilsner, 3 lbs of Munich 2 and 8 ounces of double-roasted crystal which was new to me. I bittered with Magnum and then added an ounce of MB 8.9% at 15 and 5 plus 2 more ounces into the whirlpool. Fermented with 2124. I commented in the DRC thread that I was not really enjoying the DRC as much as I thought I would. It's possible that I used more than I should or used it in the wrong style. For a crystal malt, it's got A LOT of roasty flavor which I suppose seems obvious. That character was a little too much at first so I was drinking other stuff. Eventually I went back to this beer and that character had mellowed. It's very nice. I don't know that I would use the DRC again because I feel like I could get that flavor from MW, Carafa III, etc. The DRC does not give off that dark-fruit character you might get from C120 or Special B... it's roastier than that. Cheers Brother.Highly Sexy. Ken, care to share the build?

American Pale Ale with all cascade hops- 5.25%. Used WLP051, and fermented open to the air for the first 3 days. end result is that the esters are more pronounced and very pleasant. I'd Try open fermentation again!
