Last bit of my hefewiezen from the keg. It got crazy clear the last few days. How do you prevent the a beer from getting clear?
1. Occasionally invert the keg.
or
2. Set a permanent chill haze.
or
3. Use Tanal A

Nice looking beers guys.
Here's one I just tapped. IPL with Mandarina Bavaria and Amarillo. Very happy with how it came out.

Interesting. I have alluded to this possibility in the past but Mitch Steele confirmed on a recent Beersmith Podcast that he is aware that at least some of the NEIPA brewers are using Tanal A to set the permanent haze found in these beers. This would certainly explain why the haze does not go away with either cooling or warming of the beer as I noted in the Treehouse beers you sent me. No sediment in the can IIRC either.

TH will stay hazy but you will get sediment. I have some cans that are over a year old, I should open and snap a Picture. I know I did this late last year so I have some reference. It would not surprise me at all that some are using it. Haze is so in demand here it is sad. If the haze drops after a couple of weeks people will turn on the brewery.

The only way get that haze permanent is to set it. Which can be done with prolonged cold and the right amount of protein or just go the Tanal A route. If I could get my hands on some I would.

I know one brewery is turning them out fast so cold is not an option.

Kind of what I am getting at. No brewery has the time or storage to try to set a permanent chill haze. Use Tanal A instead.
