Mmm, that looks nice Stain. Congrats on cranking out that beer. I forget what it was but I'm sure you posted a recipe around here somewhere. Look at the head on that beer!

Imperial blonde.

And if we're being totally honest, that's not head, it's foam

Pretty good. Could be a tiny bit hoppier but I like it well enough.

I wouldn't normally think of a blonde as all that hoppy but I don't remember the recipe either.

There are hoppy blondes and I make them on a regular basis. Stain, your beer looks darker than blonde beers that I make but that's a different conversation.

I would guess that is the result of "imperial" gravity and extract.(possibly added at 60 min in the boil)

Hazy batch of Waterpark... Very happy how the New England style beer is drinking.

This is the batch that you brewed the same weekend I did? Going to keg mine tomorrow. Wasn't really in a hurry because I'm serving at a wedding on the 25th.

Indeed it is. I moved it to the serving keg on 2-11. I will have to take it off since I want it around for a birthday party early March but I had to sample for QC!

No, not strongly so. Its MO, TF dark crystal 85L, Pale Chocolate and torrified wheat. There is some really nice toasty chocolate character and very light coffee-like notes from the pale chocolate and some toffee and bread. None of the dark roasted stuff or acrid character you gan get from the darker roasted malts.

ETA: As usual, it's also not quite as dark as the picture suggests. It's a deep ruby color.

maybe try to get more back lighting?  I usually do that and manually tell the camera I want a longer exposure.

I know what you mean...I did my best for my basement at night. Trouble is I take all my pics with my iPhone so I am limited on exposure control. I guess I'll have to pour a half pint here this afternoon and try it again. Dammit!

Yeah but IMO it doesn't work well in low light conditions.
