Okay guys, I'm sincerely apologizing for beating a dead horse but this pale ale I made with Nugget, Santiam and Crystal has got to be one of the best-tasting and best-looking beers I have ever made. Look at the clarity on this thing. I did gel it in the keg after it was cold and I could swear that brewtan has an impact on clarity. I may shed a tear when this keg kicks!
That is a beauty. Did you post the recipe for this? Also, not sure if you remember or not but the Brewtan B clarity should not be a surprise because that is one of the original benefits of using it.

here is one for the hazy/cloudy IPA haters .
This was taken after 4 days cold crashing and before dry hops were added. I used no flaked malts in this and the yeast was S-04 for those that are wondering. I will post a final picture in a week or so once this beer is dryhopped and on tap.

Pretty. So, if this was pre-dry hop then what was the hop schedule up to this point?

56g - Simcoe - Mash Hop
22g - Columbus - 30
28g - Simcoe - 5
28g - Columbus - 5
56g - Simcoe - WP
56g - Mosaic - WP
56g - Columbus - WP
Added last night after the picture:
112g - Simcoe
56g - Mosaic
56g - Columbus
As you can tell from the picture it was partially carbonated going into the dry hop. I also have it on about 15PSI of CO2. I plan to dry hop at cellar temps for 2 days then move it to the fridge and drop it to about 50 for 2 days then move to a serving keg.

5 gallons? You probably know where I am going with this but what do you think is the source of the haze in this case. Large WP hop addition?

Yes, 5 gallons. I agree the haze is from the large WP addition and not yeast like so many like to claim.
Also the grain bill had nothing flaked:
79% Two Row
11% Wheat
5% C-40
4% Carapils
2% Acid Malt
1# sugar added in the boil
Yeast - S-04 (fermented warmer than normal)

you think WP additions add more haze than other types of hopping techniques?
