It's been a long time coming, but... I made BEER! This is Rogue Dead Guy ale, brewed on the PicoBrew C.
My Rogue Dead Guy Ale is in the Dead Guy pint glass. For comparison, an actual commercial canned sample of Rogue Dead Guy is in the Rogue Amber Ale pint glass (next to the can).
Color is pretty spot on. Mines a little clearer, and a little darker.
Head... Well... there's a story behind that. I kegged this in a stainless steel 5L growler/mini-keg. I used a small keg charger with a CO2 cartridge to push the beer out of the keg. Every time I connected the CO2 charger to the keg, I could hear it leaking. Turns out, that when I attached the CO2 cartridge to the charger, it blew out the O-ring between the cartridge and the charger. There ended up being just enough pressure into keg to pour this pint! But it was mostly foam! This is after settling. I've ordered a new mini-CO2 regulator that should work better than the charger, but it won't be here until at least Thursday.
Aroma is pretty close to the real Dead Guy. (That sentence doesn't sound right... Beer that smells like a dead guy doesn't sound appealing.)
Mine came out about 7% ABV, vs 6.8 for canned Dead Guy.
Mine's lacking a little in hop flavor and bitterness. It's still good, but it could be better.
I'm actually pretty impressed. But I'm not going to be brewing PicoPaks on this thing.
