My first beer since the "hazy 1056 days". A Munich helles that is drinking very nicely. It was brewed on Memorial day so it's slightly young but it's smooth, balanced and clear despite the condensation.

Okay, so here is my Flat Earth Dark & Hoppy wheat beer.  This one was made with the same blob of 1056 that produced so many super-hazy beers.  This one is NOT super-clear by any stretch but it's not as heavily sedimented as some of these others.  I would call it "acceptable" in terms of clarity and it's a wheat beer with some late Citra so it's one of the 1056 beers that is not a huge disappointment.  

 

 

On Father's Day, my FIL was drinking a pale ale and kept mentioning to me, You know... this beer is REALLY hazy!

Von Trapp's Instagram makes me want to be there drinking every one of their beers.  A Helles is on my to-do list and there are great articles about it in Beer and Brewing.  In fact a large portion of the current issue is dedicated to Pilsners, Helles, Lagers et al.
