version 2 of a Saison I've been working on. Incorporated a new process in the brew house, from Brother Ken. boiled the strike and sparge water for five minutes, and let the temperature fall to where they need to be via the stove top. this is the first or second beer with the process, but my head retention has drastically improved. not sure if this is a fluke or a result of the process.

Vienna Lager this afternoon. Beautiful sunny day here, hanging out in the backyard listening to the ballgame.

11 days old and just cold crashing now. 16.6 oz in a 5g batch... Lol.
So it seems like one thing we know for sure... if you want cloudy beer, skip a vigorous boil or the boil altogether. I feel like some of us had cloudy beers when we tried to boil at a lower rate and here your no-boil beer looks like it will have no chance to be clear. I get that clarity is NOT your goal here, just thinking generally.

I also added a lot of high oil hops in the dryhops.
Remember this has 9.6oz of dryhops. We will see how it clears, if it does. I also did not add whirfloc or any brewtan to the kettle.

I was going to post something like this...
even with a boil, and WF and BT if I added that many hops to a beer it would look like that early on. the real test will be how it looks in a few weeks.
