Unfortunately things are going slowly. New leadership isn't as prompt as some would like. As far as I know its the same weekend.

Damn. I'm teaching a kayak merit badge for a Scout troop that weekend. My whole summer is jam packed already. Fortunately it's all fun stuff, but no flexibility for extra stuff.

Why does it keep going up every year? They found a cheaper spot too correct? I remember paying less than $50 with a shirt and having the Sat BBQ.

Yes, the price was cheaper last year (I think $35) largely because of the bbq getting cut. Rent is more this year. I was under the impression property owner cut would be cheaper as well.

 

The real issue is there isn't an established club to take the hit if it doesn't pay for itself, so its probably a bit higher than really needed to get things on its feet (along with the whole founders club thing). I expect the result will be a cushion to be able to lower it down again.

Correction its not owned by the 1812 brewery but by one of the owners of the brewery.

Understandable. I think I read the email wrong. The new site was more than Fort Royale but less than Organarchy. For some reason I thought it was less.

New site is a winner.

 

Everything was a lot more compact and easier to get around to different parts. We camped right near the creek. It has a pavilion that worked as good (probably better) as the stage the last few years. The rv camping is up hill but still close to the center of camp. It may be moved to a lower field in the future.

I didn't make it this year. Had to help take care of my dad and then my friggin back went out on me.
