I just finished up with a long run of beers with Omega Bayern. I think I made 12-13 batches with that one blob of yeast. At the moment all of my [ten] kegs have beer in them. But my kids were here over the holidays and HO LEE FUCK did they drink a lot of my beer. Afterwards I made three additional beers to catch up .. an American Bock, a Pale Lager and then something like a Boston Lager with Pilsner, C50 and Special B and then Magnum to bitter and late additions of Tradition, Hallertau, Spalt and Tettnanger. I will take a short break and then 2124 is on deck for some spring and summer beers. It only took about 25 years but I have been as happy with my beers lately as I have ever been. They are coming out exactly as I envision, they're consistent, clear, delicious and satisfying. Cheers Beerheads.

I have a Baltic Porter ready to go for tomorrow. Grains are crushed, water salts measured out, and my lone hop edition is bagged.
You making a variation of the one we've both been making? Love that beer. Kind of dangerous to have on tap honestly

I just checked and my last brewing session was on January 12. That's a LONG time for me to not brew. Plan is to make a starter on 3/28 and brew a helles with 2124 on 3/30. I have three empty kegs so I need to giddy up.

Saison in the primary which is slowing down, so this Sunday I think I'm going to make my treat-to-myself which is the storm-the-bastille French imperial saison kit on the lees. Yes, it's a strange beer. Yes, it's stupid strong, and yes, it does need a long time in the keg, but what a pint when it's actually done.....

Not my style but I like your passion.
Smacked a pack of 2124 today and planning to make a starter with it tomorrow and brew a Munich Helles with it on Sunday. Cheers Beerheads.

Haven't brewed for a few months, but got my little sis coming up for the Fourth in a few weeks, and her husband is a homebrewer too so wanted to get something on tap to share. I recently bought a subscription to Beersmith and saw a Mirror Pond Pale Ale clone on the front page, and used that as inspiration. At work we use awardco, which I usually just cash in for an Amazon gift card, so I've been using that to essentially get free brewing ingredients. That kind of limits my options, because some stuff is priced fairly and some shit is ridiculously over-priced on Amazon. Anywho, I was looking at that MP clone recipe, but due to availability/price, I swapped out the Citra hops for Cascade. I also had recently gotten some SafAle S-04 English ale yeast, so subbed that out too. The recipe called for some gypsum in the mash, which I've never used before, and I did get some of that.
Excited to see how this one turns out and see how the gypsum addition affects the hop presence and profile. Besides running out of propane right before the boil, the brew day went pretty smoothly.
