I've never come across a hop I hated, as long as it was used appropriately.

I think this is a very important point. While there are certainly some hops I like more than others, it really comes down to how they're used and with what other hops they're blended.I'm generally not a huge fan of Simcoe, but have had some beers made with it that I did like, usually blended as a finishing hop with others. Chinook can get downright offensive is used improperly.

Hrm, not sure I've found a hop I haven't liked. I tend to stick to northwest-named hops, and I like the bunch of 'em.

Fuggles... Always make my beers taste grassy...Its odd because I like Willamette, for whatever reason although they are supposedly almost the same, I dont find Willamettes to taste anything like Fuggles...

I agree %100.

Never made a beer I liked that much with nugget. I also don't like cascade. For citrusy hops, there are much better, but also, everyone uses freakin cascade. I like my beers to stand out a bit more. It is like the BMC of c hops.

For someone who has brewed a lot and for a long time I haven't tried that many different hops--- maybe 10 varieties.I've liked them all, pretty much, but the first time I had cascade I thought it was awful! Too much like grapefruit! But halfway through the keg of cascade APA I was loving them...

I hate Simcoe with a passion. I am also not very fond of Chinook, but if not overdone, it's alright.

ClusterCrystalVanguardTargetFugglesI generally don't care for. There are others when improperly used that I don't enjoy, but all the others have potential to be wonderful, and even the ones on the bad list, when used expertly I won't mind them.PS I'm not against cascade, but it has been done to death. I just don't see the need for more new beers to cascade bombs, that's all. There is just so much more to explore out there.

I like Cluster. I made an all Cluster brown ale that turned out quite nice. It has a berry-like fruitiness, and soft bittering, good with English styles.Somebody mentioned Challenger. There's another stinker. I made an all Challenger beer last year that was very difficult to drink. Perfumy to the max.

I will concur with the hate Simcoe sentiment. It's the only hop that I truly have not liked in any beer that I have tried. My favorite hop combination for IPA's is Columbus and Amarillo. I disagree with the hate on for fuggles though, I have made a few IPA's with fuggles that I really liked.

Can't say I hate it, but I'll take almost anything that doesn't have Cascade before I'll purposefully choose one with.
