Thanks guys - I was just asking b/c I was wondering if I'd actually be better off leaving them in the bags until I use them.

Also, I forgot to mention that I think we got a sack we didn't order. I haven't had a chance to weed through everything yet, but we got a sack of Caramel Pils from Best Malz (I think it was) and we definitely didn't order that. We did order a sack of plain Pils from Best Malz, so hopefully the Caramel Pils was added on by accident, not switched out for the plain Pils.

That would be nice

Unfortunately, it wasn't a gift. They left out one of the sacks of Pils. It was the one that me and zym were going to split. I'll have to give them a call Tuesday to figure out how they handle this kind of thing.

Aye - let me know what they say. I would think they'd just send it out to you free of charge as that would be the right thing to do.

No problem, I hope everyone enjoys their bounty. If everything goes well (i.e. if I brew a lot) we can do it again next year.

I'm sure I'll want something - maybe not as much as this time around but chances are good.

The group buy is finally complete! I handed off the last 15 lbs of Pils (that NCM had forgot in the original order) to zym last night. Have fun brewing, everyone!

I killed my first sack of 2-row this weekend. My first sack of MO isn't far behind. I don't think this grain is going to last me a year. :)

I'll start seeing if I can catch up with you soon but I doubt it. I've only brewed one batch with that grain so far :cheers:edit: let me know if you decide to do this again though - hopefully you can last at least until early spring so I have a chance to put the hurt on some of these grains...

I'd say that'll be about the time I start thinking about it. I have a RIS and doppelbock in the queue, so those will put a pretty good hurting on the grain stocks, too. When you add in the partial sacks of wheat, pils, munich, GP, that's like another two sacks of base malt. So, I still should be good through the winter. But I'm going to do my best to go through them.

I have kicked one bag of 2 row and halfway on a bag of MO. Like Jay I have some big beers planned for the fall/ winter and will be ready to order again comes spring. This time I may have a few others that want to join in also. Only have about 95 gallons done this year so far. Need to get going and have a good fall!

Hopefully I can get my new system up and running and some more fermenter capacity. If I do, I'll definitely be ready by spring. I just picked up two more cornies last week. I'm up to 13 now.

How's everyone doing with their stock? I'll def be ready for a bag of US Pale Ale this spring. I'll probably also need some Maris Otter and Munich although I have to see how much of those I use.Things I don't need:Roasted BarleyCarapils (if anyone wants a couple pounds just let me know and I'll give it to JK).

Even though I am on a small hiatus I will be down for an order. I well need 2-row, MO, Pils and Wheat and maybe some crystals. Zym, If you want to get rid of some carapils I will take some. I actualy have some on the order I have started with NB.
