I have this in my cart. Might be overkill but the extra capacity would be nice..

Can't help you, I'm still doing BK on propane, Igloo mash, and various fermenters.

Which size? I think when you link a product it defaults to the smallest.

That’s the one I linked. The 25L I think

brian, i ordered a VERY similar product (looks like one company makes that and several brands slap their name on it).  However I got mine from vevor, and I did get the 8 gallon version.

https://www.vevor.co...-p_010556912690

My ingredients arrived this morning, electric rig will arrive Monday.   So no brewing this weekend  :-/

*the version i have does go to 1800w

This damn thread really has me thinking about one of these all in ones.  I like the option to get a dome and condenser to try distilling some water...

this would be much more simple than my "water" distilling rig.   Which also hasn't seen the light of day in about 5 years.

Got my conical today and for $40 I’m really impressed. Very well made a super thick. Even has a spot in the side to add a sample port. I’ll likely buy another mini keg and make 2 gallon batches eventually but I’m off to a pretty good start.

Bought a small boil pot today and ordered an induction burner. Going to get the garage cleaned up and ready for a brew day on Monday.

If my memory is correct you have a sous vide unit as well.  You can use that to help you mash if you decide to move to all grain or partial mash.  At the small volume you are doing it will make it dead simple.

I didn’t really think about that but yeah, that would make life pretty easy.

So you have a pot in a pot if you do that? I assume the sous vide is only intended to touch water, right?

I’m m assuming if the grains are in a bag it would be a non issue. The sous vide would even be useful during the steeping portion of the brew.

So sugary wort isn't an issue? Never used one of these things.

No I think it’s safe to use. Just soak it and let it run a while after to clean the impeller off really good.

Brian, my new brew rig is sitting on my door step.  But i'm at work.   I don't want to live like this.

Did you schedule your brew day?

It’s going to be Sunday. I wanted to get my ball valve installed and my thermometer. Did a leak and boil test just now. Everything holds pretty good, no leaks but it takes a minute to get up rolling. I got a stainless mesh tube to go inside the pot but it’s pretty coarse. We’ll see how much gets through.
