Part four of the expansion dropped so I've been playing this again. Just killed a bear and a moose on the same day

I'm up to 225 days on my current run. I've been doing the new Signal Void quest where you have to fix these radio transmitters and then use a shortwave handheld to track these hidden caches (which only works during an Aurora), so that's kinda fun.

The final part of the DLC was released. Encountered my first mountain lion last night... brutal.

The latest update includes a "wildlife refresh" so the wildlife spawn points have been changed up which has really helped things feel fresh again. You never know when you might see a bear, moose, timberwolves etc.

I forgot I had bought this game years ago. I might give it another whirl now that I have a more capable computer.

Long Dark 2 had been announced. It's a companion game with personal interactions, including co-op mode on survival.

Slated for a late '25 launch.
