Have all my grain and water measured and 3711 on the stir plate for a new year Saison.  Either tomorrow or the 2nd.

Excellent.

I am preparing to filter water and weigh out grains for a Czech-style lager (but with Diamond yeast) that I'm making tomorrow.  I will be "on call" for one of my customers so I may as well busy myself with a batch.  Also, my older son (who is now back in TX) really worked hard to drain my kegs.  Two more went down over the weekend so now I have 3 more empty kegs.

Nothing more for me this year.  Got 2 batches to keg, Thurs and Fri (clone of Bell's 2-hearted Ale and an O-fest).

Also have a Scottish 80/~ and a saison that need some time in the fridge, and an American amber lager scheduled to brew next week.

Then time to start planning for March; looking at (for St. Patrick's Day) a stout on nitro and an Irish red lager, to be paired with the American IPA I didn't have time to brew last week.

I try very hard to have beer on hand that fits the time of year (light lagers for spring and summer, pale ales in the fall, darker/heavier in the winter, etc) and sometimes I whiff.  After I'm done with this Diamond I'm going to order some Bayern and also 940.  German stuff and "Mexican" stuff for spring and poolside drinking and I'd like to allow it to lager for a bit so it's at its peak when I want it.  It's been hard to age anything lately since my older son made a dent in my supply but I press on.  :P  Brewing a Czech-style beer right now... first brew of 2020.  Cheers.

I brewed Duss Alt yesterday. First brew since about this time last year. It was nice and easy. I'm going to brew a stout on Friday once my ferm chamber warms a little. Then it's on like donkey kong to get ready for my friends wedding in March. Gotta brew and bottle 4 beers for that wedding. No kegs allowed. I might bottle these 2 batches for practice. I'm going to try and prime and naturally carb the stout and the alt. Haven't done that in about 10 years.
