Im thinking all Barke and a pound of Barke Munich to about 1.055. I'd have to use Sterling because I have NO business being any more hops.

An intriguing yeast.
I'm curious, though; have any of youse used this yeast in a lager with some of the American noble hybrid types of hops?
I'm thinking in terms of Liberty, Mt. Hood and the like.

I really like the Sterlings. A good bitter addition and a generous amount to finish. I have Sterling and can see this
Agree, really think sterling is a great lager hop.

The problem is that the yeast hasn't been available for a long time. Not sure how long but I can check my notes (if they go back that far) to see what I made with it. The American nobles would be fine. Here's the recipe I put together based on this recipe I found on AHA...
I'm not sure if the FWH + 30m addition + whirlpool is going to cut it and this goes back to "recipe IBUs" and what a beer really tastes like. 7 IBUs should come from the FWH addition (I think) and then the perceived bitterness from 2 ounces into the WP.
The notes say:
I brewed a "Prague Pilsner" on 11.5.2009. A Vienna on 11.16.2009 and a hoppy amber lager (my notes say "Sam Adams-like") on 11.25.2009. Those were three batches in a very short time. AFAIK, I only had access to 2782 one time. I used it for three batches and it either hasn't been available since then or... I just missed it. But I feel like there are others out there who have been looking for it so they would have had to miss it too.

I have some dry yeast in the fridge that I need to check the date on and if it's far enough out I may be ordering some yeast!
Those dates on dry yest mean nothing

Said the same thing in my head haha. But let us not stand in the way of Brother pickle_rick justifying a yeast purchase

Full disclosure - I ordered about 20 packages of expired dry yeast last black Friday. I have used them with no issues for the past year. Now, I do co pitch and if it is 34/70 I add an extra packet but it still works.

I thought that's what you meant but it seems like a separate thing from the age of the yeast. Or do you just mean it's another atypical practice?

Oh, I would normally pitch two packs in 10 gallons.

My co-pitch amounts are for 5g since that is what I brew.

I got an e-mail they were holding my order till Monday so the yeast did not sit around all weekend. I like that kind of customer service.
