That's what I thought. I have a bunch of these 5oz bags that just say "priming sugar" on them. Left over from beer kits I suppose.

yup, dextrose, might as well use em, but remember they don't convert exactly with sucrose in gravity, but you knew that, never mind me, carry on.

As long as it makes beer.

Because of a shipping mistake I know have 2 packages of 3711 so I figure may as well brew this up again with that.  For our 3711 experts ... what is your favorite temp to ferment this at?

Not an expert but I always used 66-68 to good ends. Remember it is a diastaticus strain, if you care.

I honestly did not give it much thought. I will have to make sure I give that equipment a good cleaning once I am done.

I'm going to brew this soon as well. I have some Belle I will use. Just need to find time. I was going to do it Friday but I was informed it is our anniversary.

Anniversary brewday sounds good! Lol

My element just shorted out but I think I can rewire it to work so I think it may be on for this weekend.

I fired up the kettle to clean last night and it popped the breaker.  After some investigating I think I found the issue...

It's been awhile since I brewed a Saison. What temp should I ferment at using the Belle yeast? I seem to remember it being high the last time.

I started at 65F for a few days and then ramped it up to around 73F after that.

I did have a conversation with Drew on this.  This is where I ended up.

Well crap, I saw this pic at first but its not working now. I was just prepping this beer and came back to check out the water profile. Any chance you could post it again? Thanks

I'm thinking I'll come back to a saison sometime this year.  probably just get some belle saison.  I'm really liking using dry yeast whenever I can now and the reuse of the diamond lager has worked out pretty well for me.

I just tapped this beer and it is delicious. It is nice and crisp. I could smash this beer. Overall nice hop presence.
