Set the hook, caught a fish....
Btw, Ken you missed some awesome Pearl Jam. Along the way I managed to get as many Daisy Cutters in my belly as possible.

My BIL, SIL and also my MIL and FIL were at the show. They sent us a few videos from the show. Let me ask you a Q: How do you think shows at Wrigley sound? I'm getting the idea that it's not a very acoustic place for music and it seems like the sound just bounces all over the place. Might just be me though.

Curious if your folks were at Saturday or Monday's show. The rain delay kept PJ playing till midnight on Monday They are so good to their fans and your city loves to work with them.
As for the sound I guess Wrigley is pretty decent as it stacks up to other outdoor stadium venues. They sure sounded fantastic to me. I'll take a concert in an arena/auditorium over stadium any day as the sound quality is always much better. I can give you a comparison in a couple weeks when we get back from Fenway

My group was there on Saturday. My BIL has been a huge PJ fan since day 1. He is loaded with PJ trivia and used to order pirated/bootleg CDs and MP3s all the time. He had all kinds of rare tracks, posters, etc. When PJ played at Wrigley the first time he couldn't get tickets. He decided to go down to Wrigley anyway just to see if he could score a seat. It rained that night and there was a long delay and people were walking out and he saw some people just handing over their tickets to people outside in case the show started again. As people walked out, he would actually walk up to them and ask them if they could have their ticket but everyone he asked wanted to keep theirs. The show started back up and I believe it went until 2am which created a large fine that PJ paid for. My BIL never did get into that show so he listened from outside the park. This past Saturday he stood for the whole show.

That sucks that your BIL didn't get in in 2013. We flew in that day knowing storms were prevalent. We packed rain gear and me and my wife never left our seats through that entire show, storm, Cuervo and all. I swear they sold out of every food and beverage they had. Took the stage somewhere around 11 and played as you said till 2. But no one ever told CTA. Trains took forever to get booted up. We got back to our hotel at the Water Tower at 430 They play, they pay the fines. PJ is true to their fans. Btw, no one sits at a PJ show.

I know we're in the beer forum but... one thing that mildly frosts my flakes is this trend where one band plays another band's song. I'm sure it's happened forever but I'm not really a fan of it. If someone has just passed away and PJ wants to play a Tom Petty song or whatever, I get that. But if I'm at a Springsteen show and there are 5 to 10 songs that I want to hear and he doesn't play them but now I have to listen to OLD TIME ROCK AND ROLL or TWIST & SHOUT I'm going to be a very stabby member of the audience. Pretty sure my wife told me that PJ did a Tom Petty song and I'll bet there were other non-PJ songs performed.
When we saw the Killers at Hangout Fest, the lead singer says, Do you like CCR!? We like CCR! We should hang out!... BIG APPLAUSE... and as the cheers die down he says, We're going to do BAD MOON RISING! and the crowd went crazy. First, I was surprised how many younger fans knew the song and second... I admit that they killed it. But it was a 2:30 song in the middle of their show AND... they played every song I wanted to hear.
EDIT: Here it is... I was at this show:

Water is filtered and grains are weighed out for a brewday this afternoon. Hoping to get started around 3pm or so.

Envy you guys. Recovering from a car wreck two weeks ago. Two compression fractures of lumbar vertebrae and ripped cartilage between a couple of ribs. Staring at two batches I've got in secondary and wondering how the hell I'm going to get them finished.

First time I've brought it up. Thanx to all. It's killed all my near-term brewing plans, but I will persevere, particularly with the concept of a Thaison, a saison involving kaffir lime leaves, kaffir lime zest and galangal.

That really sucks - at our age you will be sore for a while. Wish I was close enough to help.
OTOH, set up to brew in the morning. Strike water will start heating at 5:00 AM

Wow, vibes man. I've never had a spinal injury but have had multiple rib injuries. I can't even imagine having to deal with spinal fractures at the same time. Get well.

I dedicated my batch of Oktoberfest Lager to Armagh's ribs and spine. I hope it helps him feel better. Cheers gang.
