Since Wheat and IPA seem to have lots of interest, how about a wheat-heavy IPA? ~60% wheat, the rest . . . well, getting ahead of myself here.

I can get in line wuth that , i like Wheat and rye IPA's

By Rye IPAs are sooooooooo common now. My brewery even made one a couple months ago. They ARE good, but too common to do for a community brew.

I voted mild, but I don't really care. I'm just excited at the prospect of brewing.

Could easily go along with THIS.

How about an Imperial Amber. I'm talking 1.080ish with a big malt backbone and 100+ IBUs. OMG that sounds like an Arrogant Bastard :)

Sorry, we don't really use the tinfoil hats here. I'll give you more warning next time.

The more important question, is why can't you brew until October? :)

I'm starting my new job as head brewer of on April 1 -- for two months, I'll be working six days a week, and the 7th day has already been reserved by my wife :) . From June, I'll switch to 5-day weeks, but it's already too freakin' hot here to homebrew without temperature control, which I don't have. So, I won't be homebrewing until October or so, when temps start to drop. https://www.brews-br...tyle_emoticons/default/headbang.gif

So, for a hoppy wheat...something like Gumball Head? Anything that uses tons of amarillo sounds great!

I went for Wheat or Red/Amber... I figured the Wheat would be good for the warmer weather coming up, or Red/Amber because I haven't done that in a while. Preference is one a wheat though.

A nice hoppy Amber ale with wheat is another option.

I'd go for that too. That'd be a winner-winner chicken dinner.
