Just comparing Jamil's starter calc to his 'repitching from slurry' numbers shows his starter calc may be a little heavy handed. I shut off my stir plate last night to let the yeast start settling out so I could pour out some of the liquid. For the same pitching rate using a thick slurry, Jamil's calculator only suggests 82 mL of slurry. Using the starter size recommendation from the calculator (3.2L) I have at least 150-200mL of thick slurry settled out in the flask right now.

Guv, DON'T use that site! I just heard that it's a hoax site that gives you starter sizes for 65MM cells/mL-°P instead of 75MM cells/mL-°P! RUN AWAY!
