Brewcraft is a wholesalerGo their site and download the latest price list. I used Mid-country Malt. The password ( I won't say it here) that was used for years no longer works. When I asked for a new one I was told that their parent company now owns Brewcraft and that it is a conflict of interest for them to sell to homebrewers, since that is what Brewcraft does. I only ordered pallets too and was grandfathered in, but they cut me off. I just ordered from them last year. That said, I didn't order as much as some claim on here, so maybe this isn't a hard fast rule.

No, not directly but it's still a conflict of interest. For that matter Country malt will still sell to homebrewers but at about a 30% increase in price.not to homebrewers, as you stated

It may not effect you, but I know that some clubs have been cut off. I'd really to hear from those that are still able to buy from them. They were pretty adamant with me and sent me right to their homwbrew price list and I've been ordering pallets of grain from them for the past 5 years.I gotcha

Sorry to hear. Just got our new password and catalog yesterday. It makes no sense for a distributor to sell directly to a customer, if they already sell to a wholesaler or directly to a homebrew shop. Your dealers will not be happy. It all got too big. the old days are over. They turned our club down last year. No more new accounts.

Dunno. We do have 4 LHBS within 50 miles of each other. This is something to find out and report back. I'm still convinced that wouldn't matter. One of our members met the head guy at GABF. He knew us right away and mentioned we are a big costumer and not to worry about it.are their BrewCraft supplied homebrew shops in your area?

Average 6-8. We are filling our 3rd for the year right now. We could order more but once we were able to fill full pallets on our own as a club years ago we stopped taking orders from members of other clubs.profit is profit after allhow many pallets a year are you guys doing 4?

Yea, most likely. One thing we have down pat is splitting specialties. I have more different types of specialties than I can use. Cheap moneyholy hell, I use 2 bags of grain a year if I am really productive, you probably order as much grain a year as a homebrew shop or 2

Yeah, that's what our club does also. We're able to piggy back an order on to a local brewery's order, so we not only get great prices but also a couple different suppliers to choose from. The spreadsheet we put together for orders allows people to split bags of specialties, too.Yea, most likely. One thing we have down pat is splitting specialties.
