The king of beers joins the peasants in the craft brew section. Budweiser American Ale ($7/6-pack) is a new American-style ale with rich amber color and
bigNO flavor. It's what microbrew ale would taste like if they had the billion dollar R&D department of Anheuser-Busch.

I don't care what they say Blue Moon is a decent beer

I think it comes down to this: There are many, many people who believe that beer is yellow, fizzy and tastes like Bud Light (or whatever) and that's it. No matter how many people seem to be moving towards craft beer or broadening their horizons, there will still be 1000 people for every one of them who just want to stop off at the local joint for a "beer" and beer means Bud, Miller or Coors. This is more true in some areas than it is in other areas but it's still true. It may be an age thing but not necessarily. I hear great uncles or others who say things like, "I can't believe you would fall for that and pay those prices... they're just trying to separate you from your money by raising the price for something that doesn't taste as good as... [insert bland American lager beer name here]". It's a slow migration to craft beer and IT IS happening, but it's slow.I remember trying it, it was meh to OK, it sill tasted like Budweiser somehow

the lime on the corona is pretty much required to cover the skunkBlue Moon is a nice quaffable beer. However if you put an orange on the rim of my glass, I'll write your name on a piece of paper and put a line through it.Only and I mean only; you can put a lime in my corona at the beach or on the boat.2 true statements faithfully submitted by........me

If I find myself in Mexico or the Caribbean, I drink the local beer and I'm happy to have it. It's fresh, it's inexpensive and hey, it's 85° outside. I am leaving for Playa del Carmen in a few weeks and plan to have a few Dos Equis Ambers, Victorias, Leons and Indios. A beach, some palm trees, warm weather and one of those straw-canopied beachside shacks and I'm good. For some reason, the swill is a perfect compliment to anything ocean. Can't splain it.....

Better when the weather is warming up or it's already warm outside. I find that I brew (and drink) with the seasons... it's a sickness.I'm just sitting down and tasting a Hoegaarden tonight. I must admit it is very tasty.

True. I can see where this would be a big hit when It is really hot outside. I just needed to get this tasting off my plate (glass)Better when the weather is warming up or it's already warm outside. I find that I brew (and drink) with the seasons... it's a sickness.

Someone else mentioned that they thought Hoegaarden had changed a little bit. I haven't had one in awhile but the first time I tried it I could see its appeal.True. I can see where this would be a big hit when It is really hot outside. I just needed to get this tasting off my plate (glass)
