Sweet Success!!!!! Just bought 2 12 packs ($15.99 ea), date of mfg Sept 30th. Drinking first now.....MMMMMMMMMMMM.
Stopped by my "old" hyvee tonight to see if they had Celebration yet. That just got in ONLY 2 12 packs that were buried behind the Summerfest 12 packs. Same hyvee I was finding SNPA that was almost a year old Did not see any in the walk in cooler Major fail, the Hyvee I bought mine from had a good 6 12 packs that I could see and I did not look in the walk in cooler. Looks like I'm switching groceries at least for my beer purchases!!

I put a request out for it. I also put a request out for 4 cases of Cele. We'll see if this new distributor will deliver. I haven't heard yet.

I sure hope I get some. I'm so tired of hearing everybody else in the world brag about it I could pull my hair out. I called my bud back in the Ham and he was just opening his first of the season. He went on and on while we were on the phone. I guess I could maybe get him to mail me some if nothing else.
I love that beer.

Noticing a lot of "stuff" in this years celebration. Some larger dark pieces (hops, maybe) and lots of fine white/light colored particulate that seems to hang in the beer forever after it's poured which does eventually settle to a fluffy white layer on the bottom. Any ideas what this "stuff" is? Not worried about it, just curious. The taste is not suffering one bit.

I had a Celebration on tap at Bier Station (semi new bottleshop/ taps in KC)today. Glorious! You could smell the hops when it was on the table.

.
I have 2 left from my stash that I had to travel 180 miles for, and all from the exact same dist. as my town, that they won't bring it to.
I'm saving them for tomorrow evening for my very own Christmas present to myself.

I guess the Celebration is done and Ruthless Rye is in. Just bought a 12 pack of Rye at the grocery store. It was on sale!

I love ruthless rye. I hate to see celebration go, but I love watching the rye come my way.

I haven't seen that in any that I've had.

FWIW, I have a keg of Dean Larson's Christmas tree ale on tap as well as some "real" Celebration around. I did a comparison yesterday and the Christmas Tree is remarkably close to the real thing.

I have officially missed the Cele season in Duluth.... I went to my favorite off sale today to grab a 12er of Cele for a New Years Shindig and there sits 2014 Ruthless Rye - I won't lie, I bought and am enjoying it but I'm sad.

I often have had problems with clumpy yeast in SN beers, in the past, but the Celebration I got this year didn't have this problem.

Alright. I am not doing this side-to-side but does the Ruthless Rye taste a lot like Torpedo to anyone else?
I'll wait for the flames.
