It is not tapped, and requires the Co2 tank and regulator to be hooked to it to push te beer.Question was meant to be about safely transporting it without leaking issues on its side.Not sure but isnt a tapped keg considered an open container?

I was actually considering that.An idea if you don't have the space for a cooler - a large black trash bag, the heavy duty kind. You should be able to put the keg in the bag, and tie it up well so that just in case anything does happen, it will only spill in to the bag. This also won't require much additional space.

55 gallon Heavy Duty Trash can liner would do the trickI was actually considering that.

An obscure product to be sure. And I've been rooting around the Midwest Supplies site for the better part of 2 weeks, waiting for an item to come "in stock".never saw those before
