I had a bottle of Monk's a couple weeks ago that had zero sourness to it. I don't know if they changed the recipe or something, but it seemed really odd...I love Rochefort 10, other Belgians worth trying are anything from De Dolle(Bos Keun and Oerbier are my favorites), Duvel, Gulden Drak among others. For sours add Cuvee de Jacobins Rogue to the Flanders list, Monk's Cafe is an ok entry level sour.

I've actually had a few bad bottled of Delirium Tremens that fit your description, but most bottles are mouth-fillingly complex.Interesting to see how often Delirium Tremens is mentioned.....while it is by NO means a bad beer, I personally find it to be a bit sweet and lacking complexity when I compare it to other Belgian Tripels.

I would love that Sculpin right now .. Quick, bring it to my cube!ete: sigh, none of my beers are thereWell, I really wanted to get Rodenbach grand cru and 3 philosophers but I couldn't. Here is what I will be drinking to over the course of the next 3 or 4 days with the wife.httpss://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-HXy7X0QhnpQ/T9uHb7YB6cI/AAAAAAAAAlw/RFMLcFIUiMA/w614-h459-k/Beer.JPG
