I know the black ipa El Burro Negro TM was sort of strongly flavored but did you detect any of it in that?That was 05, no rehydrate, and fermented at 62. ( dont worry about my feelings I seek truth )

I did not. That was a nice beer. Jim even thought so too. It doesn't matter how strongly flavored a beer is diacytel will show its face if its in there. Im also particularly sensitive to it making things worse for me. My point in this matter is the strain is unpredictable.
