in the UK in general. It always cracked me up because the guy I was living with would pay almost twice as much for a 6er compared to some decent bitter

that's not concrete, I'll have to look again next I am at the store, but we have such a broad selection of micros in most stores here that Guinness is typically the only non micro stout on the shelfwhen I get a hankering for stout I usually grab Obsidian

The same company that owns Beamish owns Murphy's, they concentrate on exporting Murphy's and not Beamish.

Seriously. In Santiago, wine, pisco and beef we're practically free but Scotch was more expensive than it is back home. I'd like to get better at taking advantage of local economies.

I'm just back from Aruba. I challenge you to find any local deal there. Their only product is aloe and you can't even find that cheap anywhere.
