When did bottled Guinness start to suck?

I know it's probably all in my head but the bottles have always tasted different than the cans to me

extra stout and foreign extra stout ftw. American Guinness is brewed in Ireland and probably pretty stale when it gets here.

Extar Stout is better as Carlos stated, the draught bottles and cans aren't even Irish

The last time I had a bottle there was no widget inside. The nitro is pretty much the only reason I like Guinness. :(

lol it always cracks me up how things can feel so weird when you travel. Eastern Europe and import prices for Bud but $1.00 for amazing Czech beers lol

Seriously. In Santiago, wine, pisco and beef we're practically free but Scotch was more expensive than it is back home. I'd like to get better at taking advantage of local economies.
