Its easier for me to brew 20-24g batches. Doesn't take that much more time. About the same as going from 5 to 10g. I got tired of trying to brew 10g batches of a whole bunch of different styles. Now i just brew 4-5 styles that i like the most and only brew a handful of times/year. I love brewing, but have decided i enjoy it more by brewing more, less often.

i am firmly in this camp with bilktrearound the middle of june i'll do a 3 session day and stock up for july and august - then it's back to 20 gallon batches

THIS is where I want to be. I enjoy brewing but I also have plenty of other things that need to be done on the farm and if I can make more beer for the same amount of time I'm all for it.

11gal normally till the taps are full then if I get ahead of things and get a chance to play I'll do 5gal specialty stuff. Before I played around a lot more cause I had the spare time to do so, now life has be rather busy so I maximize a brew day when I can do it up.
