I brewed my BJCP guideline ESB yesterday. I hit the numbers so exacty on everything, it was scary. There's something more satisfying about brewing with precision sometimes, than going with the impulsive, seat-of-you-pants approach I sometimes favor.

5 gallons of Ken's Memory Lapse Pale ale Friday night and 10 gallons of Honey Kolsch on Saturday. Wanted to do one more today, but I do not think that will fly ..

I traveled an hour to by brew buddy's house and we brewed two 5 gal. recipes. A chocolate oatmeal cream stout, and an ESB (kind of). We started with a basic ESB recipe but ended up throwing in leftover stuff. We added an added an extra ~1lb of crystal,~3 lb of dme, and ~2 oz of hops. We pitched an activator pack of brittish ale, and a vile of some other ale. Maybe wlp-001?

No brewing for me this weekend. Just kegged 1/2 of my Kolsch, and bottled the other half yesterday. My BoPils is slowly cranking away. So far based on the starter and this pils WLP 802 seems to be a very slow fermenter.

No brewing here either. Just got done transferring 10 gallons of SNPA clone (Sorry Basser). This was a redo batch after the last one with my well water had some subtle yet harsh off flavors. If the other batches I've done with water corrections are any indication I think this one is going to be tasty. The sample agreed with this assumption as well. Now I just have to be patient.......and not pull a full glass for sample.........must....not....do...it.
