I friend and I have about 20 yeast strains banked in the freezer. The test tubes are filled with a thick slurry of yeast and glycerin. We have not paid for yeast in a few years. It's really nice to have what you need ....when you need it.

$6.00 for yeast at my LHBS. It's $5.99 for me though, I get a club discount.
