The possibly low attenuation of 1968 might not be ideal for the old ale I plan on making with whatever yeast I pick up.

WLP007 Dry English would probably be an excellent choice. The flavor profile is similar to 002/1968, but it's far more attenuative.The Wyeast equivalent to WLP007 is supposed to be 1098. Don't know about that for sure, though.

Some version of the old ale is in there but I'll be updating when I come close to brewing it. I was planning on making an ESB with the yeast first though and I haven't posted that recipe up yet.

I should note - I think zymot is the only one I've ever heard of around here using 1318 and I believe he likes it. Maybe he'll spot this thread and comment...
