Do you guys have an opinion on Mt. Hood vs German Hal?  I'm kind of considering just using Mt. Hood for my German lagers going forward.  Blasphemy?

I did a helles/pilsner this  year with Mt Hood, 4oz It was nice but I am ordering Mittlefruh and Saaz this year.  Not that the Mt. Hood beer was not good but for me it was missing something.  Now. I will say that I have used his Edelweiss blend before and really liked it.  For me I would take that over Mt Hood.  I had no idea what that galena comment was about either. Not sure I ever used it.

I have a bunch of partial bags with no dates on them that I am just throwing out.  Starting fresh

last years hops aren't really that great in terms of deals.  seems like it's just last years prices

El DO is good but can get very Juicy Fruit candy like if a lot is used.  Best to blend.  I have some Idaho 7 but have not brewed with it.  I think the Hallertau difference is the regions they are grown in.  I still have some generic Hall so I will go with the specific this time.

not really.  I think he's just sort of low tech.  he sells on ebay or you can get on the preorder e-mail list and order that way.  if you want in just PM one of us your e-mail and we'll send it over.

Not blasphemy at all.  Super good Hal is a probably my choice, but it's hard to find.  Mt. Hood is a great sub.
