That yeast combo works really well. I would like to try repitching but most of the time it is filled with dryhops. Glad to hear it is working well for you guys.

I poured my wife one beer that was a mix of the two kegs (pressure was low in keg 2 at the time) and then one that was just keg 2 (more bravo keg) and she liked 2 better.

I could just keep making this beer pretty much forever. So good. So very good. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it has some of my favorite things in it. Gp, citra, Chinook, other hops. Mmmmmmmmmm,. Mmmmm!

okay, making this again but changing up the hops a little and using BRY-97 this time.

I haven't thought about dry hopping yet but I'll likely use similar hops to below (although I think I'll be out of strata so I might replace add in a new hop for the dry hop).

1.5oz bravo @ 30 min

1.5 oz idaho gem @ 0 min

2 oz columbus @ 0 min

0.5 oz bravo @ 0 min

1 oz strata @ 0 min

1.5 oz idaho gem (hopstand)

1.5 oz columbus (hopstand)

1 oz bravo (hopstand)

2 oz strata (hopstand)

scratch that on the yeast change.  I have an S-004 that needs to be used before the BRY-97.

brew day went pretty smoothly.  efficiency not quite as good as normal (69%) but I'll still get delicious beer so it's all good.

looks like I have a little bit of strata and idaho gem left.  I think I might dry hop one keg with the same hops I used in the boil and the other I might go and mess it all up with citra/chinook and bravo because I love citra/chinook.  I should really go back and make a classic drez pale ale with bravo in the mix to see what it does.  I'll def be buying more bravo this fall.  great multipurpose hop!

I have done it with Bravo to bitter and then again in the dry hop.  I like what it brings.  You cannot pick it out as anything particular but you just no it is there.  It works so well with other hops.

I got beer coming up with Bravo, Chinook and Eldorado. Excited to see how that turns out. Oh shit I just remembered I got a sampling port on the fermenter now!

There should be nothing wrong with that beer!

I got lucky on my hop replacements compared to the original.  so delicious even though I haven't dry hopped it yet.  taking a pull right out of the primary.......  it doesn't get better than this.  even if I don't make the best beer I'll rarely get beer this fresh anywhere else.

I still have to try Idaho gem and strata. I have both sitting in the freezer.

idaho gem is kind of a kind of herbal/spicy with some lemon/fruit going on.  interesting hop.

strata is full on fruity I'd say.  tropical but also other general fruit type flavors.

Think Idaho gem would work in a pils?

Not a traditional one but if you are heading off style I think I'd enjoy it.

dry hopped two kegs today.  Trying to resist pulling a pint this early since I'm sure there is a lot of hop stuff that needs to settle.  here is what I settled on for the dry hops.  I was just finishing off the Idaho Gem on the second keg so I rounded it out with some cascade.

DRY HOP (5 gallon): 2oz strata, 2oz idaho gem, 1oz columbus 1oz bravo

DRY HOP (5 gallon): 1.5oz citra, 0.857oz cascade, 1.5oz chinook, 1oz bravo, 0.67 idaho gem

So when you dry hop in the keg has the beer already been crash cooled and you are transferring to the keg with the dry hops added?

right.  beer goes into keg on top of hops.  the only downside is that I have introduced O2 when I dry hop but there isn't much you can do about that unless you dry hop while you are still fermenting.
