I'd take the reg to a hardware store and see what you can match up to it.

I'll probably do this but I was just curious if the output was standard and if someone knew the right size to look for.

so 1/4" barb was too small for the regulator and 3/8" was too big. That means HD and Lowes have nothing for me. My next attempt is going to be bringing the regulator to airgas this upcoming week and see what I can find. I'm still open to other options if anyone has one.

does the threaded port have a semi-circle indentation inside of it, rather than a flush cut at the end?For my oxygen regulator, I had to bring it to airgas to get the oxygen regulator fitting. If I recall, it wasn't too expensive. The semi-circle is where the barb seals with the regulator so that you don't need teflon tape or a gasket to seal.

I believe it is what you are referring to:Posted Image

I meant to ask - is there only one size barb or are there multiple sizes? If there is only one size what is it? (hoping for something that would fit nicely in 1/4" ID tubing :) )

I believe they had two sizes, 3/16'', and 1/4'', I bought the 1/4''.I think it came as a package of two. Looking around online, there is also a 3/8'' option. This is what it looks like:https://www.frantzartglass.com/images/118632%20actual.JPG

I don't really know anything about these medical oxygen systems. However, I have heard that (believe it or not) you have to have a prescription to get the tank filled. If what I heard is true, then that may present a problem for you.

Some Scuba shop will fill them for you. Look to one that cater to "tech" divers (Cave, deep, tri-mix).

It's not an issue for me as I have an industrial tank (so I filled it at the welding supply shop for $10). Good info for people who have medical tanks though.

Did you remove that stainless fitting and look for a barb that would go directly into the regulator? That stainless piece looks like 1/2 of a compression adapter, which usually have wierd threads on the collar end.My medical regulator doesn't have anything that looks like that, it just has a fitting that is barbed on one end and threaded on the other, and goes right into the body of the regulator.

I did not try removing it but I'm kind of nervous to do so b/c I don't want to break this thing...

so after the guy at airgas figured out what I wanted he figured out he didn't have the part so he ordered it. Hopefully it will be in by the end of the week...
